Sea Breeze Tavern; Rio Del Mar Bars: Seabreeze Tavern OctoberFest Second Annual Event
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at 5:24pm. 647 Views, 0 Comments.
The Seabreeze Tavern is holding it's second annual Octoberfest this weekend on Saturday October 24th. This little tavern for those who don't know is down on the esplanade in Rio Del Mar, in an area we call the flats. It is a neat throwback kind of bar your grandfather used to go to, but without the smoke. What it does have is 10 beers on tap and loads of fun awaiting you. There are great ocean views and a sizeable( for here) back room for larger crowds, and often music at different times of the year.
Call (831) 688-3420 or go to 101 Esplanade, Aptos, CA 95003. for more information. Support a good local watering hole and enjoy the beer, atmosphere and good cheer.

Out on my morning stroll along Rio Del Mar beach I noticed the aftermath of the recent Santa Cruz storm. Aptos Creek was flowing well, getting rid of all the alluvial deposits from this past year. It finally had a straight shot to the ocean along Rio Del Mar beach. It seems all this year it had serpentined its way all around the sand, making for mucky water wading for all the get to the spits of sand nearest the water.
Today as I strolled along with an occasional mist, I came upon more carnage that I have seen in years. Well this storm did not seem to top monsters I recall, maybe it was one for the time of year. It did dump alot of rain and leave me and many others with Rio Del Mar homes without power. Some places branches were down, one inland lavvy…

Santa Cruz beach homes are always in demand, especially now that the prices have come down.
Usually, banks will simply…

Do Not Call me.... I'm Eating supper !!
Do you get bothered in the middle of dinner by telemarketers? Well you may wonder why did they call you? We are often home in the evenings, but that is not the only time they call. It reminds me of an old gangster quote, when asked why he robbed banks said "because that is where all the money is." The reason you get calls is because that is where they can find you, at home. Most people are not home during the day, though we all get those hang up calls. Thankfully the robo calls are now largely illegal, those were very annoying.
To get on the Do Not Call list you can do it two ways. You can call 1-888-382-1222 and go through the prompts as it is all automated. You will have to call in on the number( that exact…
