Santa Cruz stormy weather: Santa Cruz Spas and Stoves the place to keep warm in stormy weather in your Santa Cruz home

The stormy weather reminds me of the fun and excitement that winter brings here to Santa Cruz, Ca.Real estate owners have some concern as the storms cause unexpected havoc. While storm can be a blessing, they can be a curse too.

The Santa Cruz home buyers I have represented recently have had their roof's and gutters inspected or replaced as necessary. Cleaning out the gutters of your Santa Cruz home is important so they don't fill up and overflow and sometimes cause ceiling damage from water intrusion back into the home.I am sure that many will check their water drainage systems to see how they can be made functional again. Windy storms can plug up drains with leaves, branches can fall and take out gutters, and drains can get clogged on the ground, and if not directed away, water can undrmine foundations. Storm and winter maintenance preparation is important.

Storms remind us that we need to have matches, candles, spare water and canned food. It also brings to light the idea that we are so dependent on electricity for so many of the conveniences that we use daily. One thing in particular is the fact most of us get our heat from a device that relies on electricity. If you live in a San Lorenzo Valley home, you will no doubt have a wood stove in your home. Living in the San Lorenzo Valley community mountain community of Felton is a joy. Felton home owners have a bit more of a civilized feeling as the valley floor opens up and not as much of it is hilly, and is therefore more developed. Having a woodstove though for when you lose power during these storms, assures that you will have heat and a way to have coffee or cook some sort of meal. Santa Cruz Spas and Stoves is a great place to get a gas stove that heats your home when the power goes out. If you favor a woodstoves or a spa, they have those too.

With the newer homes being so energy efficient, most of them have gas tankless water heaters. They, like your furnace need electricity to function. Having a Santa Cruz Woodstove or Santa Cruz Spa installed can make this unfortunate time easier to bear. With a wood stove or gas fireplace insert, you can have heat and be comfortable. It is one thing to be in the dark, but another to be in the cold and dark. So I shop at Santa Cruz Spas and Stoves to get in heat when the power goes out. With a gas stove, I get heat when I want it, power or not.
